Price Categories in Romania 2024
Prices vary enormously depending on category, pedigree and performance. Below is an orientation guide based on the Romanian market.
Backyard / Unregistered Pigeons
- Adults without rings: €4–10
- Nest youngsters (unringed): €6–16
- Ringed adults, unknown origin: €10–25

- Documented Belgian/Dutch line: €60–160
In brief: Without documented evidence, the real market price is below €40 for any bird, regardless of what the seller says.
Pigeons with Proven Performance
- Top 10 at a regional race: €80–200
- Top 3 at a national race: €200–600
- Season ace (regional): €400–1,000
- National champion: €1,000–3,000+
Imported Breeders
- From Belgium/Netherlands (known fanciers): €500–2,000
- Sons/daughters of international champions: €300–1,500
